Cooma - Established in the early 1800s, Cooma is referred to as the capital of the Snowy Mountains, some 100kms from Robbo's. It has distinct communities and cultural characteristics. Cooma is known for its national parks, ski fields, and areas of rural heritage. It has four very distinct seasons each year. Nimmitabel and Michelago are other famous destinations for riders. Adaminaby - The present township of Adaminaby came about from the damming of the Eucumbene River for the Snowy Mountains Hydro-Electric Scheme. The original buildings were dismantled and re-erected. The old church still remains at Old Adaminaby 9km away. Most famously, it is home to the Big Trout. Towns like Kiandra and Tumbarumba are more noted visits on the map for the two-wheeled traveller. These destinations are more popular during the warmer months.
Batemans Bay - After Pooh Bear's Cave, 'the Bay' is the most popular tourism spot for Canberrans. Whether it's the first or final stop after the Mountain, crossing the bridge or heading to Ulladulla and Nowra is just the beginning of the fine scenery and townships of Eurobodulla. Moruya, and Ulladulla are just some of the favourite destinations for our riders. The Brown and Clyde Mountain roads and scenery are fantastic on any day. A favourite destination of the owners is Narooma. Coastal stops typically take about 1.5 to 2 hours one way from Robbo's, and make for a fantastic day trip.
Goulburn - Goulburn provides a unique blend of city facilities and a country lifestyle. Home to Wakefield Park, local wool industry, and various tourist destinations, it is a great mid-point between Sydney and Canberra, offering a great weekend away or that well-deserved stop for the rider. Braidwood - A common stop for riders heading out to the coast for the weekend or just the day. The historic town's 19th Century architecture offers a unique attraction for vistors. Local pubs and hotels are common places to stop. Braidwood is also noted for its national parks and fishing. The Loaded Dog (Tarago): Situated in rural Tarago NSW since 1848 and named after Henry Lawsons famous story, the Loaded Dog Hotel boasts a historic bar where patrons meet for drinks. Situated only 40 mins from Canberra, this is one of Australia's most sought after watering holes.
Attractions like the Botanic Gardens, the War Memorial, Parliament House, Telstra Tower, the Museum, and lake icons demonstrate that Canberra is unique to all other detinations. A simple ride around town reveals some of the hidden attractions of our Capital City.
The Cotter roads are favourites with local riders looking for that shorter trip on the weekend where you can forget about your worries and just ride. The old mining area, Captain's Flat, is not far from Queanbeyan. Captain’s Flat is accessed by a road off the Kings Highway and attracts a regular flow of visitors to fossick in the old mine fields. For a quick ride, the Flat offers special scenery and a true sense of history.
Part of the Shoalhaven Shire, the Valley is best known in the riding community as a pleasant destination after amazing winding roads and beautiful scenery. Argued to provide roads as good as the Clyde, you'll often be tempted on a weekend to make a trip up to the Valley.
